Invloed SSD op laadtijd

Ik heb de SSD Intel 530 240 GB vervangen door een Samsung 850 pro 512 GB.

Update: Na de reactie van Evert-Jan en bestudering van de logfiles wordt nu de laadtijd van Freiberg 24bits ongecomprimeerd in stereo bij eerste keer opstarten na opstarten windows:
Voor wisseling SSD:
i7-4770K standaard: 20,8s
i7-4770K overklokt tot 4,6 GHz en de geheugentimings op X.M.P. (DDR3-1600-7-8-8-24): 17,9s
Na wisseling SSD: 14,9s
Na wisseling versie Hauptwerk naar 4.1.1.012: 14,6s
Bij tweede en volgende keren i.v.m. caches: 8,7 s

Is die laadtijd inkl. opstarten van Windows?

Van aanzetten computer tot speelbaar zijn van Freiberg (24 bits ongecomprimeerd stereo) duurt bij mij 52 seconden onder windows 7 64 bits met 32 GB Ram.
De computer heeft de volgende PassMark8 Rating:

zijn mooie cijfers maar je kunt gedetailleerder zijn door in de HW activitylog te kijken want daar krijg je de harde cijfers (niet sampleset gerelateerd).
Via help --> activitylog kijken na het laden van een sampleset naar onderstaande regels:

Hier wordt een cache file van ruim 16 GB geladen met een gemiddelde snelheid van 315,75 MB/s. In mijn geval zijn dat 2 harddisken in RAID0 op een SATAII aansluiting (die kan max 300MB/sec aan).
Het inlezen gebeurt door 5 cores, die redelijk belast zijn.

Ter vergelijk de oude, HW 4.0 situatie met laden waarbij "slechts" 3 cores gebruikt worden en die daar niet warm van zullen worden (situatie met een enkele harddisk):

In dit geval zie je dat in dit geval de harddisk de bottleneck is: 99,94% bezet. Daarom kunnen de processors rustig aan doen.

In jouw geval kun je kijken wat de laadtijden met de oude SSD waren door terug te gaan kijken in de logfile of een oude logfile te openen.

Met de informatie uit de logfile moet ik de tijden herzien. Bij een eerste start 14,6 seconden, bij een volgende start 7,8 seconden. Hierbij de logfile bij een eerste start. Dan past de overdrachtsnelheid beter bij de capaciteit van sata 6.

Totale laadtijd: Total time: overall: 8.593 sec (de eerste keer was Total time: overall: 14.611 sec.). Dit staat bijna boven de logging. Dit is inlezen van alles: van ODF t/m de plaatjes en user data.

Lezen met 1698.92 MB/s ??? Dit kjomt omdat een deel nog in het (RAM)buffer t.b.v. de cacheschijf zit.
De 520Pro SSD is een standaard SATAIII schijf; dus max leessnelheid door die poortbegrenzing is 600MB/s.

Al met al een goede en zeker snelle SSD, die helaas nog wel aan de dure kant is. Wel 5 jaar garantie (standaard is op bijna alle SSD's 3 jr)

Ik heb nieuwe conclusies als update aan het eerste artikel toegevoegd. Wellicht staat er een gedeelte in Ram, zodat het sneller te lezen is bij een tweede opstart?

idd staan dan een deel van de sampleset in RAM (disk cache buffer van het operatingsystem); dat verklaart dus ook direct de hele hoge waarde van de SSD leesacties.
